Ponderosa Pine Slow Study (May-May '24-'25)
This yearlong course is for those who wish to deepen their relationship with Ponderosa Pine, the iconic, red-barked conifer standing on the eastern slopes of the Cascades. Do you ever wonder about their story here, or the medicine within them? Ever wish to spend a little more time getting to know our most prevalent tree in Bend?
Each month we bring Ponderosa Pine a little closer to our hearts, be it through basketweaving, storytelling, medicine making, or studying local logging history and wildfire ecology, their historic magic, and seasonal edibility. I can assure you, the way you see the Pines and more so, our place, will change.
The commitment is 2-3 hours, once a month.
All ages welcome.
